1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VIMS (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

VIMS provides tools to manage video and related content, including integrations with Google APIs such as Google Drive and YouTube API Services, and Slack API Services to upload, organize, and manage files, videos, and workspace communications with your explicit authorization via Google OAuth and Slack OAuth.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service.
  • When you sign in via Google OAuth or Slack OAuth, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and permissions.

4. OAuth and Permissions

The Service requests only the minimum necessary permissions to provide requested features. Depending on scopes you grant (e.g., Google Drive: drive.file, drive.readonly; YouTube: youtube, youtube.upload; Slack: channels:read, users:read, chat:write), we may access metadata such as file or video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, sizes, MIME types, folder or playlist structures, channel information, user profiles, team details, and other information necessary to perform features you initiate (e.g., upload, organize, or manage content, send messages, access channels).

Our Service uses Slack API Services to access and manage workspace communications, channels, and user information with your consent. By using these features, you agree to be bound by the following policies:

  • channels:read - Read channel information and metadata
  • emoji:read - Read emoji information from your workspace
  • groups:read - Read private channel information
  • im:write - Send direct messages
  • team:read - Read team information
  • users.profile:read - Read user profile information
  • users:read - Read user information
  • users:read.email - Read user email addresses
  • chat:write - Send messages to channels and conversations

  • You retain ownership of the content you upload or manage through the Service.
  • You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service as authorized by you.

9. Prohibited Activities

  • Violating laws or third-party rights, including copyrights, trademarks, or privacy rights.
  • Attempting to access data or features without proper authorization.
  • Circumventing rate limits, quotas, or security measures of Google APIs, Slack APIs, or the Service.
  • Using the Service for advertising or marketing using Google/YouTube/Slack data, or selling/transferring such data.

10. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service may contain links to third-party services (including Google, YouTube, and Slack). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

11. Data Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described there.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

  • We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law.
  • If offline access is granted, refresh tokens are encrypted at rest and are deleted or invalidated within 30 days after you revoke access or when they are no longer necessary.
  • You may request deletion of your stored data at any time. Upon verification, we will process deletion requests within a reasonable period.

  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or applicable laws.
  • You may stop using the Service at any time. Certain provisions will survive termination as necessary.

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Effective Date” and will be effective when posted unless otherwise stated.
